Assistant Project Manager
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work within a team environment, supporting the Project Managers and Senior Project Managers in the day to duties associated with working on high profile visible projects.
- Assist with developing, maintaining and reporting project budgets and schedules.
- Produce written reports, schedules and related correspondence for clients
- Work with Internal & External Teams as well as Owners to develop project requirements & schedules.
- Assist the Project team to ensure all duties are executed and completed in accordance with client’s goals and objectives.
- Assist with the management of construction projects, from inception to final completion.
- Attend Design & Construction Meetings as necessary to Represent the Owner's interests.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Implement the details of a project while maintaining the vision of an entire project.
- Must have excellent verbal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.

Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5 years of industry and client engagement experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a construction related field

Senior MEP Estimator
Chicago, Illinois
Roles & Responsibilities
- Reviews drawings, specifications, narratives and supplemental information for completeness and clarity
- Prepare clear detailed quantity takeoffs for specified scopes of work to assist senior estimating team members
- Prepare estimate detail using estimating software (ICE)
- Disseminate information to estimating team to allow for proper completion of estimates
- Ensure all estimating team members complete their portions of work and assemble all data into one cohesive estimate
- Self-review of work product
- Review work product of junior staff
- Responsible for the completing the final product prior to senior staff review
- Ensure timely completion of estimating tasks including working overtime as necessary
- Evaluate costs for material, equipment & labor productivity for specific projects & locations
- Assemble general conditions & general requirements estimates
- Obtain budget pricing from manufacturers and subcontractors
- Collaborate with clients, architect and engineers to ensure proper scope understanding
- Organize & travel to jobsites to gather information on materials needed, labor required and other factors related to the scope of work
- Lead meetings to review estimates and/or reconcile with contractor or third party estimators
- Review estimate as a whole and evaluate quickly for major issues and be able to answer basic questions on any portion of the estimate
- Maintains quality service by following company standards
- Compiles questions & comments related to the project’s scope of work
- Perform day to day administrative tasks such as maintaining files
- Communicates and stays abreast of the latest information, both internally and externally, that affects all aspects of the costs used to prepare estimates
- Assist in maintaining cost database to ensure costs are up to date
- Maintains professional & technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Prepares conceptual estimates with minimal information
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor

- Ability to provide an overview of the company as a whole and all services it provides to existing and potential clients
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of construction MEP estimating experience or exceptional aptitude at previous level
- Bachelor’s degree in construction related field or equivalent work experience

- Organize meetings & travel to job sites to gather information on materials needed, labor required, and other factors related to the scope of work.
- Lead meetings to review estimates and/or reconcile with contractor or third-party estimators.
